The Liaisons Council

The Liaisons Council was introduced in the year 2006. Due to the kindness of our Spiritual Guide, H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, the Liaisons structure was put in place to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation's operations. This concept stems from the monastic institution of the great Gaden Monastery, where it was adopted hundreds of years ago and endures until today.

The position of a Head Liaison in the monastery is called the 'Chang Tso', who reports directly to the Abbot of the monastery. Each department head or 'Sopon' holds a particular portfolio to support the Chang Tso by carrying out their respective duties. The position of Chang Tso and Sopons are held in high regard in the monastery and requires extreme dedication of highly trained monks who are fully responsible for all related matters in each department.

In Kechara, the Liaisons are committed to assist H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche in spreading the Buddhadharma far and wide. This includes creating the environment for the most challenging and rewarding training - the mind training through Lama Tsongkapa's teachings for all who come in contact with the Kechara organisation.

Each of the His Eminence's 20 Liaisons brings with them a unique, special and inspiring background. Click below to read their stories, what makes successful people choose to do Dharma.
