A Spiritual Getaway

Nepal, a deeply spiritual place, has always been one of His Eminence's favourite destinations. His Eminence regularly leads large groups of students on pilgrimage in Kathmandu and KECHARA has since established its first international centre - Kechara Lounge, Nepal – close to the world-famous Boudhanath Stupa.

KECHARA is now working towards establishing a retreat center in the Kathmandu Valley – the next step in our efforts to spread the Dharma and lineage of Lama Tsongkhapa in this wonderful country. Located in a peaceful mountainous area in the southern Kathmandu Valley, the Nepal retreat center is a branch of Tsem Kachö Ling, Kechara's main retreat center in Malaysia. The Nepal retreat center will be a place for meditation, retreats, learning and personal development; a spiritual destination for pilgrims from all around the world in the country where Buddhism first came into being in this fortunate aeon.
